Guest Rattfink
Before I post my stupid question, let me just say how cool it is to be able to talk Z-8 without worrying about someone getting misty about it. "Oh, don't do that... restore it to factory! Blah, blah, blah..." Anyway, thanks for the cool site. Now on with our regularly scheduled programing. Stupid question: JTR book briefly mentions the ballast resistor and that the HEI distributor does not need it. What they don't say is what in the heck to do with it &/or the wiring that goes to it. I know what it is and can point it out in that big snakepit of wiring that I have spread all over the chassis... "See? Right there! That white ThinGhy." What's it do and what do I do with the wires when (if) I remove it? Any help would be appreciated. Thanx, 'Fink

Still has the suspension hanging on it so I can roll it onto a trailor to have the chassis sand blasted. Other than that... empty. Not doing anything too radical... slightly modified body and a motor that doesn't have two carbs that require CONSTANT attention. Puttin' in a fairly tame 350 csb. Should be a kick in the ass L8-r 'fink
