Guest Anonymous
Im picking up a 76 280z on tuesday, already prepped for a small block, has the $350 kit installed and the custom radiator. Now I havent learned too much about these cars or the conversions yet so bear with me. Im sure some of my questions have been asked and answered a thousand times so I apologize early for that, but like i said Im just learnin. My first question though, is how hard and how involved would it be to do an LT1 conversion, and add some kind of supercharger, like a powerdyne or a vortech, the centrifugal type. thanks again -Jono

Guest Anonymous
oh man dont get me started on the impulse......I LOVE THIS CAR!!! its really reliable unfortunately the guy that owned it before me must not have had a torque wrench or was jsut a big wuss cause he didnt torque the bolts on the head down. SO instead of just putting a new gasket in, I decided to swap in a bigger motor, aluminum flywheel, stronger clutch, underdrive pulley, FMIC, intake, and jsut some other little mods. it was quick stock, running low 15's, I have no idea what it's going to run now. but yeah, very rare cars, rare than most ferraris, but they're awsome in every category speed, handling, and lady appeal thanks for the welcome -Jono
Guest bang847
man, I was gonna buy a impulse.. It was pretty clean but when i saw it the turbo was disconnected and the clutch was going...
Guest Anonymous
as far as the turbo goes, the stock is TINY, that should have been one of the first things you changed anyways. Its an IHI turbo, like on the probe gt's and thuderbird turbo coupes. Well the thunderbird one is bigger, but not that much. As far as the clutch, i dunno, mine started slipping bad after a month or two, the stockers dont take kindly to 5k launches, hopefully my fully metallic thats coming will be ok. -Jono
