Guest Zpeed
Hey Guys I'm about to start on the creation of my dream car, a datsun fairlady (roadster) with a sr20det. I have found a kit on ebay in australia, that is quite cheap, i hadn't planed on starting the project for a year or two, but this kit is to good to refuse, so i can't let it slip buy. Also i havn't even got the car yet, but i am working on that one, finding a fairlady that is worth a swap, meaning that isn't perfectly restored as don't want a do anything to a restored classic one, and isn't rusted out, and i'm starting to buy bits and peices to make the conversion happen. Ive decided on a R31 (aus spec skyline) rear end, as they are a solid disc to disc rear, and keep the 4x114.3, but i need to get it choped and streghtned to fit, also LS center installed, but these rears are cheap and affordable, and also strong, and alot of differant ratios are availible, so i think its the best option, and This has been done before on fairladys so i know that it works a dream. My main reason for this post, is to see if anyone knows of what happend to that guy who was putting the buick v6 into the fairlady, it was a long time ago, and i'm sure a few people remember who the guy was, and hopefully know how the swap has gone etc. also if you know of any other swaps or websites that i can refer info from. thanks alot. also i still have my datsun 260z 2 seater, but thats trying to be sold at the moment. DavyZ
I think you'll have to do a search for the one guy that was doing his conversion. There have been a few threads from about 1.5 to 2 years ago with a very cool conversion. Does the search function work? You may have to search each forum. Ugh.
