I notice this little section on his site If you have a 280Z or ZX stick with what you have, but a 240Z can greatly benefit from upgrading to a factory electronic ignition. You can buy aftermarket systems like Pertronix or Luminition, but Datsun did all the homework already by creating reliable factory distributor. I was looking at upgrading my system, but from what he wrote ...why bother ?. I have a '77 with 77 tech. Is there a noticable differents on a street driven Z's? Or better yet who here at this board has a 280Z, with an upgraded system that really runs better?
