Hey guys I was wondering if my rearend was a full-posi or slip-posi. I was doing J-turns and donuts in the parking lot. I think I saw two sets of tread marks, but this might be beacause of the turns. Can some one help with this. It is also important because I'm almost ready to drop my 350 and it would be nice to know if I need a new rearend so I can drag race at the track. Estimated hp 350-450. TH350 tramsmission. 125hp shot of Nitrous. Any info on this combo with stock rear axle would be much appreciated. :D

That rear end will have no problem with the hp you're after, but I've got some bad news on the limited slip. Unfortunately, Nissan didn't put limited slips in Z's until 1987. We're all stuck with a one-legged open diff unless you spend the $700 for an lsd at motorsport, more dough for the quaife, or get lucky and find a later lsd but know that some modifications are necessary to get it to fit.

Thanks for the info buddy. You aint lien' about that lsd being $700 and some change. How much power will that lsd hold ? How much power would it take to lift the front wheels off the ground  ? I just wanna scare the hell out of my competition and myself.....a little bit :D .

It isn't the rear end you have to worry about, it is the half shafts. If you want to pull the front end, that is a job for a Ford 9" , very sticky slicks, and lots of other drivetrain modifications.
