dipstick tube not fitting with sanderson qp1000

I had too bend the hell out of my new dipstick tube to get it to fit with my sanderson header. Shouldn't it fit right in. Has anyone else had this problem?

I had to tweek mine a little bit to get it to fit and it's still a pain in the butt.

What about a flexible dipstick? They are about $45 from Lakar.
