Guest shodog Posted June 14, 2003 Share Posted June 14, 2003 Well here I go asking for some help. Bought 75 280z. Ran fine. After 4 weeks it started every now and then to run lean, pop and blowing smoke and no revs over 1200. Turn car off and back on again problem non existant. Runs fine. Now two weeks later no bueno. hard to idle and lean all time. I was told to replace water temp sensor and wiring harness to that and Thermo time switch. Drain oil and fill. Also cleaned gassey sparkplugs added new plug wires. In order they came off. So I did that. Problem got better. No smoke still pops after warming upon wot. Loss of power. I then attached the thermo time switch to harness and it leans the motor and dies. So Iz replace it too. Still same thing. I haven't adjusted timing or nutin. Whata maybe next.
