Guest cw280z Posted July 10, 2003 Share Posted July 10, 2003 yeah, the heads are different. unless you got a car w/roller rocker motor. some of the old cars had the 302 roller rocker motors in them, i'm not sure which ones though. should have a diff, ecu if it's efi and cams. i had a 79 f-100 with a straight 6 and was gonna convert it to 302. i bought a book on 302's of the net for 'bout 15 bucks that breaks down the different engines. usually the grand marquis had the ma and pops engine that the lincolns and trucks had in them. it is alot milder and would get better gas mileage,but alot less power.
