You guys are great! Im working on a 383 stroker, 700r4 conversion now and you guys have been my number one source of information. Thanks for all your hard work in documenting the Z31 swap. I hope to wrap my project up before spring next year.

I saw your cutouts for the engine mounts and am waiting on your tranny mounts pictures. You know if you guys are interested I think I would be willing to pay to have you guys fab me up some mounts once you get them in and finalized. Maybe help recoop some cost on your project let me know.

Thanks again. I would be very lost if you guys had not choose to document.

Well, things have been going slow on the project lately. Slow, as in, nothing happening at all. We've been too tied up in other things. But we should get back into it real soon.

We made the motor mounts from those cutouts, but they should have been a bit different. Ended up welding in lots of extras. If we had it to do again we'd be able to start with a better design since we've done it already.

I completly understand Im budgeting to build my wife a house, and it is taking precident over the Z.

If you guys were interested in selling some mounts for the tranny and motor I would be a willing buyer. It would help save me some time, and aggravation. Just an idea

I just came back from looking at a 77 Z w/350, and he used the JTR mounts. Those look great, but alas non for use the humble Z31 owner. I have set my goal to be done so I can begin tuning next spring. Im looking for 600hp from my 383stroker (good luck I know), and building it to run Nitrous. I read you guys are having hood clearance issues why is that?

Because the goofball head fabricator (me) tried to base the mounts on the originals for accuracy of engine placement.

If I had to do over like steveR says, id have chopped 1/2" off of them first and set the oil pan at 1/8" off the crossmember. Kinda embarrassing , really :D

As to the moment we haven't any plans sell the mounts, because we were not happy with how they turned out. but at some point when we can get a revised plan together (my project) we'll have all the bugs out of the idea.

We were going to use the parts ZX (85 turbo) as my project. But my mortally wounded daily driver required us to cut it in half.

Ill have to find another beater to do that to. That will take time.

Anyone want the back of an 85 turbo, cheep?
