Guest Anonymous
On my first Z.....75 280. Have only had it say a month or so. I believe the wheels are offset a touch outward.....has some beefy 15's on it...don't know the size off hand. Anyway....the tires rub. Whether I gun it in 1st and 2nd, or try to pull a corner, they just catch. A buddy suggested rolling the fender. I could....but I am not certain that would solve the problem. Are there any cheap things to look into to solve this? I would like to stay with this tire size. I would also like to be open for decent options when the 383 gets dropped in, but until the money is spent on the block, I do not really want to go through too much to fix this problem. Any suggestions? Thanks, Dawson
DavyZ
Dawson, If the tire sits just behind/under the fenderwell, then rolling is the thing to do. However, since we can't see your tire, wheel, and fender, this is just guessing. Rolling the fender will get you 3/8" to nearly 1/2" if I remember correctly. Tire Rack rents out a tool for the purpose--check online. Also, this topic has been discussed time & time again. Someplace here there are some GREAT threads on this topic.
