VG30DETT Swap into a 280zx? Anyone here done it?

My computer phobic friend (or maybe he is just lazy) has a nifty VG30DETT that is in need of a new home. He has a 1982 280ZX and has been thinking about stuffing it in there. A search of this forumn and Google nets SQUAT regarding this particular swap. Im wondering if anyone here has done it and might be able to help out.

Basically we need to know where to find motor mounts, what manual tranny to use with the motor and how it would fit up in the tunnel if he used the z32 trans. He has the ECU and plans to run it in a stock config with (potentially) a bit larger set of turbos.

Help, advice, and words of experience are needed. If you have any info at all it would be GREATLY appreciated. Personally i think it would be easier to stuff it in another car....but i know this has been done before as i actually seen one before.

Thanks in advance to those who help!

(oh, and Austin, youre welcome)

I havent seen it done.. but I'm sure it can be. But It will still cost you a bunch to intall it into the car..

You will still need intercoolers, Piping, Oil Cooler, Wiring harness or custom made wiring for the engine. Fuel Pump, custom driveshaft, Upgrade the Rear end..

It can be done but unless your willing to put a lot of work into it I would say dont do it..

I am working on doing a VG30DETT conversion into my 240Z Now but I am doing a ton of fabrication and changing a lot of things.
