Guest silverbullet
I plan on replacing my drivers side outside door handle and locks later this summer on my 77-280 at the same time I want to replace the moisture barriers, should I just use regular sheet plastic or is there something better to use for this like that stuff they put on the outside of houses (Tyvek I think its called?) I want something strong and moisture/vapor proof, it would also be desireable to have a material that was stable (did not emit a lot of vapors/fumes) , also what is good to hold it on silicone or just household calking? DavyZ
I would buy some stuff just for that particular application--you could buy it at Home Depot, but it won't be necessarily 'automotive' related (who cares). The black sticky stuff that never dries is what holds it on in my doors-same nasty nasty NASTY stuff that they use to affix car windshields.
