Guest jt240z
I've been trying to reduce some of my under hood temperatures on the turbo 240Z. The temperature is getting high and it's effecting my water temperature at idle. I don't want to change my hood to the vented hood if I don't have to. I was wondering about getting my exhaust manifold, downpipe and turbine housing ceramic coated. I know some of you have had this done, and I would just like to know how well the process worked out? I have a local (Atlanta) shop that does Ceramic and Powder coatings. They say they can do the exhaust manifold for $85 and the turbo's turbine housing for $50 in a polished ceramic coated finish. Are there any "Gotchyas" that I need to look out for? How much of the turbo should I get coated? I was thinking of only getting the turbine side done. Any input will be greatly appreciated.
