Guest MistaFosta
Im setting up a lt1 in my 240z, and Im not sure how to run the fuel return line. Should I run so it dumps back into the fuel cell from the top? Or use one of the outlets on the bottom of the cell? Im pretty sure I want it to drain through the top, but I don't want to cause any pressure problems.
Guest Anonymous
If you are running a fuel cell I would vent it to the top, may need to add a hole for this depending on the cell, however, some guys are venting in one of the outlet lines with out problems. You may want to consider another option. If you plan to run the car with less that half a tank of gas you will need some kind of baffel in the cell or a surge tank and a secondary pump to fill the surge tank. If you go the surge tank route you can run the return line in to the surge tank. Between a low pressure pusher pump to fill the surge tank and the return line going into the surge tank you will be able to run the cell dry with out any fuel starvation issues. The cell is prebaffled, Ive been using it with my carbed 350 setup without problems. I will add a hole next to the vent hole for my return line then, thank you for the info!
