Hey guys,

I was wondering who has actually done the RB20 conversion into their Z's because although originally planning on doing a RB26 conversion but I think i might have been convinced on now doing the RB20 due to the associated cost but still wishing to have a bit of performance on tap and the sound of a 6cyl. So i was just wondering who's done it and how'd it go?

Im going to buy a z and was wondering what kind (240/260/280) would be the easiest to chuck an rb20det in ?

Would an sr20det or a ca18det be any good in them? or easier?

The reason im asking is because its going to be mostly a learning project for me and my mates.

hey guys, welcome to the forums. well, i know a few of these swaps have been done, and being in OZ i would be suprised if you couldnt find someone who has done it. im not sure if anyone in the US has, but i remember reading of a few of them, make sure you try a search to see if you can find any more info, i dont really know any of the specifics on what had to be done, im sure one of the guys who has done the RB26 swaps, like stony, would know what would need to be done to make it work.

good luck man, make sure you take pics and write down the things you do so they can be put on the net for others to look at, just think how inspired you would be if someone had a full write-up with pictures of every detail so you could do the same with full confidence!
