Guest shuyun
I have searched this forum for the answers to these questions and I have NOT found the answers I was looking for. I am freshening an l28et for my 73. I am having the block cleaned and honed, a 3-way valve job done on the head, and all new bearings, seals, and rings. Nissan did a good job balancing the engine to start but I am putting a 225mm Aluminum flywheel on the engine so I am having the rotating assembly rebalanced. As I am going through the expense of rebalancing the motor should I have be crank lightened? The rods race prepped and oil holes drilled? Floating pins installed? Any thing I have missed? As this is my first l28 rebuild I appreciate your opinions. Thanks
Guest Zcarsmakemyheadhurt
If you need to spend the money, do so. But the factory L6 stuff can usually make 400hp if you have the right turbo and fuel system in place. If your going with a turbo larger than a 60-1 and injector past 42lb, address the engine internals. Other than that maybe spend the money on actuall power making products. Good luck
