Guest Big Phil
I have a 95 Camaro LT1 and I finally found a company that manufactures a reasonable priced bracket to delete the Power steering pump and A/C compressor. There are a few other companies that make brackets but they charge way too much ($400) and they required you to purchase a corvette harmonic balancer ($400). A shop in Houston,TX sell a complete kit for $175.00 and it includes includes everything you need. The company is called Mad Man Racing. It is a low mount bracket alternator bracket and it should clear the frame rails. Phil Mad Man Racing
Guest Anonymous
Low mount brackets sometimes have a problem with the JTR setback plates contacting the back of th e alternator (or whatever accessory you have down there). If the LT1 uses them which I believe it does, double check your clearance before committing to that setup. Just a word of potential interference I believe BLKMGK had a problem with that and finally went high and on the passenger side (older smallblock and not a LT1 though, so no serpentine belt). VRJoe
I have a '94 LT1 from a Z28 and right now I'm looking into using the A/C bracket from a 92-95 Corvette. This way the Alt. can stay where it is (high passenger side), the A/C can be moved to high drivers side. I'll keep everybody updated if it works. I'm going to get some measurements from a 'Vette setup this week, then I'll know. The bracket was around $70 from a dealer. -VRJoe
