Guest socket_toomee
Being quite an amateur when it comes to engines, what would be the advantages of having a mopar engine to a chevy or Ford engine?
Guest Pyrogen_007
Mopar engines are suppose to be heavier duty than the others from the factory, well at least they used to be, It was that you'd have to beef up both ford and chevy a little, or find one of the rare special engines. With pre 1993 mopar small blocks use a shaft to mount the rocker assemblies, this is much stiffer and more stable than a pedestal type like 93-present sb mopar and chevy and fords. I am using a mopar block because it was easier and cheaper for me to get ahold of and I know more about them. As you can tell there isn't much out there for Mopar stuff. If you dont feel like doing much work, or being different, go with a chevy motor and be like almost everyone else.
