Guest butlersZ
I have a '74 260Z with the flat-top carbs on it. Normally I don't have the electric pump going and use just the mechanical one, no problems at all. However this evening my mechanical pump went out on me and I hooked up the electric pump and proceded to use it. But when I turned it on, fuel came spraying out of the carbs and flooded the car. Is there any way to resolve this issue? Would a universal pressure regulator help?
Guest rick458
make sure the oil level is right and that the pistons are free my front carb was stuck and it shot much fuel out the overflow tube be sure to check your oil quite often when a mech fuel pump dies it injects gasoline into the crankcase Barring that the regulator should work I think 3 1/2 lbs is what the carbs run at
