Guest cag4
Has anyone with a GTO rebody found successful was to clear the heat out of the engine bay? My car isn't overheating, but it's generating enough heat that I'm concerned about longevity of some of the components... not to mention the fiberglass hood itself. The original GTOs had a couple of perspex forward facing hood scoops that I assume were meant to draw cool air into the stacks, and had functional openings (2-3 depending on year) on the quarterpanels behind the front wheels -- anyone experimented with replicating these and making them functional Any other ideas? Thanks, Charles
Guest 250z
I have a heat shield (plasticy foam layer I got from a auto shop) that I have glued to the bonnet, I have not tested it yet (as my engine is not let going)
zxgts-4
FYI the perspex bonnet vents on a genuine Ferrari GTO fed fresh air into the interior of the car and were nothing to do with carburation. Neil
Guest cag4
Thanks Neil -- that makes sense about the bonnet vents. They didn't seem positioned correctly for flowing air to the carbs. Charles
