Guest 400 ci 280z Posted April 13, 2002 Share Posted April 13, 2002 i know i am one of the few people using a pontiac engine so i dont expect much help on this subject, but does anyone know where to find some plans for these mount or get a hold of someone who does. i have e-mailed rickeybell a couple of time but have not got a reply yet. if someone can give even a little help it would be appreciated. I'm not aware of any plan's outside of JTR's for a Chevy for motor mounts. Lower it in place, jack the tranny up and then look around and see what you can tie to. I'm thinking you MAY be able to use some sort of JTR setback plate arrangement if you wanted, if not, you can weld mounts onto the frame rails on the sides of the engine, but you'll probably want to reinforce the frame rails if you do this, also the extra heat from welding can through the frame rails into a bannanoid shape if you get to carried away with it.
