11.38 rotor to put Wilwood Caliper on Stock Spindle for70-78

Hey I think my brain is going to explode.

Okay how does this sound

With a Wilwood billet or superlite series caliper on the stock spindle it is 144.6 mm to center of hub and top point of rotor

That makes the rotor 11.377. or so. Will this combo be enough to fit inside a 15 inch rim. I don't have a 15er around to check it out. Add 12mm extra for caliper clearance which makes it 156.6mm and multiply that by 2 which gives you the needed clearance across which is 12.33inch. Sorry I get confusing at times but Im going to go ahead with this. I have been asked to look into this and it seems simple enough. I will have to get a bunch of rotors to machine down in size. I plan on using the 1.25 x 11.75 rotor but which series. The regular vented one? I will be using the same hat thickness/dimensions as the 12.19 rotor. The only draw back would be having to machine down the rotors. BUt hey at least you dont need the adapter brackets and no need to get larger wheels (if it fits in a 15 inch rim)The caliper will need to be spaced .25 inch with washers. Easy enough. I think its a go!. If someone has a 300zx lug hub I can get working on the 5 lug brakes. Thanks Juan

Do my #'s sound or make sense. Its 3 in the morning. My brain is overworked

Not the setup for me but it seems like a good idea. However with the thought of machining the 11.75 rotors I woulf first check into some oem rotors to see if those might work. It would be cheaper and maybe even eliminate the machining of the rotors. The only thing I would be worried about is the vented rotors would be losing a good chunk on the vents as I think the vents are only around the edge of the rotors but I could be wrong there. I would just make sure its not going to negativly affect the rotor or cause warpage. Sounds like a great idea for anyone wanting to run 15 inch wheels.
