Guest CarGuyChuck
I've spent all summer doing body work on my '79 280ZX N/A, and now all that's left is the engine, The engine probably has about 250,000 miles on it, but it still runs fine. (minus a few small problems, of course) I am pulling it this weekend, and I was wondering if I should just do a rebuild, or look into a new engine? I guess there's a few things y'all should know... 1) I'm a college student, so money is an issue (no RB swaps) 2) I don't want a turbo engine. (doing a racecar replica, and want to keep it n/a) 3) I would like to switch from efi to carbs to make the engine bay cleaner, but if I do, will I be able to pass emissions? (if I use cats and everything) If anyone has been through this before, I would love some advice.. Thanks for your help.
