Guest soulfly454
ok i have two questions i am thinking about getting rid of my performer intake for a summit racing package that includes weiand Hi-ram tunnel ram and two holley carbs the engine i am running is a 283 with a 65 fulie vette cam and stock heads which i am also thinking of repalcing i like the tunnel ram becouse it handles high rpms that i run (7000 rpms is a normal thing when showing hondas what a real chevy runs like) andanother thing i am looking into is the air boxes at ramaitbox.com theres an ad in the back of almost every hot rodand superchevy so i was wondering who has this set up and if you do what mods will i have to do to my 240 to make it fit
Guest Anonymous
Mikely, has one in his car as do a few other members, they fit just fine with a shorter intake, but I'm confused when your talking tunnel ram, if your talking about using that, forget it, its already got cold air induction because its sticking out of the hood 6-8". Regards, Lone Ps: Unless you twist that little guy to 8k, IMHO I'd put a single four barrel / single plane manifold like a victor jr, or Super Victor jr, they'll put to 7k no problem. The tunnel ram does look impressive though, just can't see it on a 283.

Guest Anonymous
Aw, ok, do a search on Ram air or air box and it was discussed a few times you should be able to get some info on those post, if not someone will jump in probably and give you the 411, I think the guys used 3" with a drop base on manifolds like the Victor Jr and it clears the hood.
