Guest greimann
For the length, you are going to have to measure it specifically for your car. You local drivetrain shop can tell you how, because they will be building your driveshaft anyway. For the angle. Try to get as close to straight as possible. There is lots to understand about driveshaft angls and how they cause vibration. The most important concept to understand is that the output shaft of the transmission and the pinion gear centerline need to be parallel to each other, but not necessairly co-planar. See this site for more explaination: http://drivetrain.com/driveline_angle_problem.html The reality is, in constructing home-brew hybrid vehicles, the theoretical sometimes takes a back seat to what is possible. A cool little tool I just saw is here at the bottom of the page: http://www.compcams.com/catalog/349.html . It can measure driveshaft angles pretty easily which is the most difficult part of setting up a drivetrain.
