Guest Neil
I'm wanting to sell my rebuilt L28 with Tripple Webbers (new). The engine has less than 2K on it. It's been polished and ripple coated black on the top. Any ideas as to what I could realisiticly get out of it? I would be willing to sell the entire car if the price was right. I'll be going to a Z show in Knoxville, TN in 2 weeks and figure I would have a target audience to sell it. I'll post some pics later today. Thanks. P.S. No "It's worth a dollar and I'll take it off your hands" replies please.

Guest Neil
Alright, since no one is giving any legitimate responses, I'll accept some smart a$$ ones. Really, though. If someone can help me out, I'd appreciate it. I'm going to try to sell my engine/car this weekend at a Z show in Knoxville.
Guest Nic-Rebel450CA
I'll give you $50 if you pay for shipping to Sac, CA J/K. I'm not too sure, but I'd say ballpark probably anywhere from $300-$800 (maybe more) depending on who you have nearby. If you run into someone that was planning to buy a tripple webber setup for $600 or so and would like a rebuilt engine too then they might pony up some more $$ to get the whole nice setup. If it were me I'd start with a real high price and let them talk me down rather than a low price and wonder how much more I could have gotten. (I might need the $$ more than you, however). Drax240z
I'd say between $600-$1000 US, mostly because of the triples.
Guest Vashe
Are you trying to sell just the engine, or the entire car?
Guest Neil
I'd prefer to just sell the engine so I could have a practice/parts car for my 74 260 Z. I originaly bought this car because it was ideal for what I wanted to do: replace everything stock and put in a V8 with about 400 hp. The shell in in great shape (which is relative, I realize), but needs some work as far as paint and some rust repair on the floorboards and frame rails. So..... If someone wants to buy my car as is, I'd sell it if the price was right, but I'd prefer to just sell the engine, get some capitol, and learn as I go on the rest of the car. Since I've got another Z that is good shape and runs, it's not too big of a deal if I botch something up. Here are some pics. http://www.hybridz.org/phpBB2/album_pic.php?pic_id=1767 http://www.hybridz.org/phpBB2/album_pic.php?pic_id=1766
Guest Nic-Rebel450CA
OMG, I think you have my hood! Do you have a pic of that hood? That looks like a hood that I saw once before that I really really want.
Guest Neil
As much as I'd like to think that my Z had something unique and special on it, I'm afraid what you are looking at is a stock hood off of a '77. Sorry.
Guest Nic-Rebel450CA
Oh, I see. I thought the louvers in the hood were holes in the raise of the hood. I saw a hood before that had rectangular openings along the raised side of the hood and two openings towards the front kind of like nostrils. Darn, I'll keep hunting.
