I want a flare that will go flush with 18x10 wheels. anyone have any ideas?
Guest ON3GO
that doesnt depend on the flares it depends on the specs of the wheels... like offset and backspacing.. give us that and we can maybe help you out. mike

ozzinc
8) there is A website that you can go to that will have the flares that you need to accomodate the 18x10" wheels And that is reactionresearch.com also you can try arizona zcar, but they no longer do any fiberglass body parts, I will post some photo's of my cars flares that I purchased from A gentlemen in arizona, And I think these are the arizona zcar rear flare quarter kit, as I have 17x11" on the rear of my flares. Dan Juday
Don't send your money to Showcars, you'll be sorry. John Washington's SubtleZ kit should accommodate those just fine. I have the SubtleZ fronts with 265/50/15's, no problems. It bears repeating, don't buy from Showcars. Poor quality, worse service. Here's Johns site. He is a professional, excellent quality. http://www.reactionresearch.com/automotive.html

ZROSSA
It might be time to find flares of any car that will cover the wheels and them cut them about to fit. I would look at some series 1 rx7 kits or mabye some group one flares of a mk1 escort. In N.Z. these things can be found pretty cheeply and then be made to fit. I have never looked into it, but I would guess that there are hundreds available in the states to choose from. Douglas
zlalomz
I would think the Subtle Z kit would be the best quality and most usable for the street. Some old school styles would be IMSA flares like the first pic in my personal gallery or the bubble flares on the green car. 18X10 wheels wouldn't fill a YZ front fender without a lot of offset. Ted Fisher's are 18x12. Headlights can be placed in the grill area of the 280 YZ like Ted Fisher did on his on the reaction reasearch website. Three styles are in my pics at http://www.hybridz.org/phpBB2/album_personal.php?user_id=1854

zlalomz
The flares on the green car are from Motorsport Auto and are their "Street Flares". My flares are just riveted on but most people use the mega glue they sell and then bondo blend them in. You need to do some cutting on the front and rear and welding in the rear. How I did mine is at http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=7599
majik16106
did anone notice he has an 18X10 with a +10 offset, thats gonna be a real close call for the suspension, I think a 10inch wide wheel barely fits at 0 offset. I think you need a wheel with a bit less backspacing.
