Guest needwaymorespeed
I bought a used fuel cell -fuel safe type-hard metal housing with the plastic tank and foam inside the tank, but no fuel sender two questions. 1-how do you know if the foam is good, visually it looks ok but am worried about it deteriorating and plugging fuel lines . 2-how do you install a sender in these, Ive seen the fuel cells advertized with foam in them and a fuel sender. anyone know what type of fuel sender they use-do you cut out enough foam so the float and rod on the sender can work? or is it a diferent style sender alltogether? Also wheres a good place to get the fuel cell foam from? Thanks Curtis
rc's240z
fuel safe offers their own sender for gm and ford automobiles....the foam in your fuel cell should last 10 years. Installation of the sender is a bit more of a trick, I suggest you should contact the guys at fuel safe for the specific location of installation.
