660Z
I have one one my car and it works great! opens with a push of a button. custom made for your car and the price is very reasonable. comes in 2 1/2 or 3" I can`t believe the word isn`t out about these. It`s a nice unit. Mark http://www.mccordcg.com/mpp/mpp.htm
jmead
is it on your SBC or i6? How is the sound, and is there a noticable improvement in power at all?
660Z
It`s on my SBC car. I have a 12"x 3"extention running off the bottom elbow of the S pipe. My exhaust is pretty restrictive it`s 2 1/2 into a single 2 1/2 into a 3" flowmaster. It gives me about 4 tenths in the 1/4 . It`s perfect for the track but not so perfect for the street, the fumes come right in the car at steady speeds . But when closed it`s quiet no leaking (they suggest using red silicone with the header gasket) and when open it`s loud unmuffled, obnxous, testosterone driven exhaust . Guest Nic-Rebel450CA
Those are pretty nice, but I'd rather save some $$ and get the manual ones: JC Whitney Link
660Z
I thought about the JC type but they`ve been around forever and everyone complaines that they don`t seal well in the closed position. Also they only fit pipes up to 2 1/4". The Mccord cutout fits up to 2 1/2 and 3" and seals very well closed. Mark
Moridin
I've always wanted to do this with a big V8, so I can follow the straight piped Harley guys home and wake them up at 3AM.
