Guest Mr. Big Business
After installing the driveshaft, how much of the slip yoke should be sticking out of the transmission? For reference, I'm running a T56, but I doubt that matters. Right now, I have about 2 inches of slip yoke showing, which seems excessive to me. I suspect that the shop that ordered my driveshaft measured incorrectly. Thanks, Henry
Dan Juday
Your yoke should be about 3/4" from bottoming out in the tranny. The way to measure is to push the yoke in all the way and then pull it back out 3/4". If you have more than 1 1/4" I'd get it resized.
