Guest Anonymous
Here is the way I want my 1972 240Z built. Look it over and if you have comments, feel free to comment. 350ci all aluminum chevy v8 5 speed transmission, 6 speed?? Holley carbeurator, 700cfm? 750? Edelbrock valve covers K&N air filter Flow master exaust system? power locks power windows power trunk keyless entry remote starter for cranking on cold days transmission cooler, racing radiator with fans, and all other coolers black leather seats ferrari read exterior aluminum wheels pirelli or dunlop tires xenon lights headlight covers grant signature racing steering wheel after market guages electronic ignition These are just some of the things that I have seen that I think would make a really good 240Z. It's expensive, but it's what I want and I'm thinking about giving it a try. ------------------ Sincerely, SonyGuy(Tim)
Guest Drewz
Just a bit of info. If you go with the 95 and newer GM 350 it uses a reverse cooling block, heads, and waterpump. Also all parts for high performance are special for these new generation engines. ------------------ Drewz
BLKMGK
I don't think I'd do th eall aluminum SBC. Cost is high, parts selection can be funky, and I'm not sure the lower weight buys you as much as simply bumping the HP upwards. It might handle a touch better but for the cost? Most of the rest I'd liek to do myself. Power locks aren't a big deal but power windows and certainly a remote hatch release would be nice! Which guages do you like? I'm choosing those now... But hey, it's your car, your idea - build it any way you want and enjoy the heck out of it! I've got a 72 myself and am having lot's of fun with it. P.S. Go for a Momo steering wheel - they're niiice
