Chaparral2f
I was looking around on another sight, and came across a post where you advised using 1 ton chevy truck motor mounts. I'm gonna buy a set of mounts and wonder why you recomend the 1 ton. Can you post a couple of pics of your mounts? The shots of your car at Z Driver are awsome. Thanks, Joe
Guest BigWhyteDude
the JTR manual suggest the use of gm part # 3990332 these mounts came on 1965-1972 gm trucks.
DavyZ
Joe, the reason they are suggested is that they have the configuration that works on the Z car crossmember for the JTR conversion. There is a center bolt hole in the mount that ties into the crossmember via a bolt. Other Chevy mounts do not have this configuration that I am aware of. BTW, the aftermarket does make polyurethane (Prothane for example) mounts like this. Check Summit Racing if you are interested. Davy
