innerware
Quick question for all that no so much more than I wish I could. I just changed the front break pads on my wifes 97 corolla. Only one of the brake pads was really worn bad. Three of them had like half there life left on them. What would cause that kind of wear? The calipers are single piston, and I have never worked with that kind of caliper before. All I know is my Z. Thanks for any info.
Hybrid240z
You need to re-grease the caliper sliders on these floating calipers. They are probably dry and stuck on the caliper that has the uneven worn pad. This has happened to my Accord before on the rear brakes. I would check and re-grease both caliper assemblies to make sure it doesn't happen again. Use the break caliper grease that is made for this not heavy duty bearing grease. They sell it at the auto parts stores in small packages. Marcos
