Guest dmk2123
I've got an 83 280zxt and bought a turbo timer. One of the features of the turbo timer is that you can hook it up to the speed signal coming from the ECU and it will tell you your speed. I was wondering if anyone knows what wire coming from the ECU i should splice into. Thanks in advance Dave
Guest dmk2123
Seriously, no one has any ideas what so ever. Has anyone installed a turbo timer on their car and got this feature to work
Doug71zt
It can be done - Your ZXT has a Vehicle Speed Sensor for the cruise control that generates a pulse signal. On some ZX the VSS is attached to the back of the speedometer where the cable goes into it (analog speedo) If you have a digital dash - follow the speedo cable from the transmission to where it ends and there is the VSS. Best bet is to get a wiring diagram for the car and have a look at the digital dash or cruise control diagram. Hope this helps you to get on the right track. Good luck - Doug
Guest dmk2123
Doug you rock man. I didn't even think about that. I'll be taking out the gauges anyway to do the 130mph swap so maybe I can kill 2 birds with one stone. THANKS A LOT Dave
