Guest ZDreamin
I seem to be having a little troupble with my stock 76 coupe, ever so often if it idles for to long about a minute or so after its been running for a while the car will die and won't start back up. The idle also stays high, like 1300 or so until i gas it and let off and slowly drops down to like 800-900 range. I can not seem to pass emissions, the CO level is way to high both at ilde and under load, and i really need to pass emissions. When i bought the car the cover on the AFM had been taken off, so I assume someone played with it before, im in the process of getting an unopened AFM. I have cleaned out the tank, new fuel pump, new fuel filter, plugs, wires, coil, I'm wondering what else i can do to get it through emissions? What else could be causing the car to stall and die and not start back up after it has been running for about 15 minutes or so, mostly happens after a hard 15 minutes of driving. Thanks.
