Guest Slvrhase Posted November 28, 2003 Share Posted November 28, 2003 I need some help with the 2004r in my Z. It backs up a mild 350 and seems to shift fine and feels solid. I have checked line pressure at min. TV and full TV and it all looks good. The cable is set about where it should be, when I disconnect it with the gauge hooked up it does not drop more than a pound or two on pressure and it will immediately rise when the throttle is moved. My question (or problem) lies in the shifting, it seems to kick in to OD much to soon. It's hard to tell exactly what speed (my speedo gearing is off a bit) but it seems as if it is around 35 mph. or so. The engine seems to be at to low of an RPM (about 800 to 900) to accelerate smothly. Any one have any experience with these trannies? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
