Guest jjohart
I've got an 83 280ZXT and it has gone in for intercooler custom installation. The installer has apparently routed hoses/piping past the headlamp buckets, and has hinted to me that I won't have access to the headlights from the rear (underhood) once the pipes are in, at least without unhooking the pipes (not that rear access plates were easy to get at anyway). The question I have is, should I need to change a bulb or a lens cracks, is there a way to get access from the front, by removing the headlamp fibreglass trim buckets (which on my car have headlight washers in them as well). I can't believe Nissan made a design like this which wouldn't allow changeout of the bulb without removing the entire assy from the rear/underhood....tell me I'm wrong! TomoHawk
Believe it. My 78 280Z has the headlights access from the back. You gotta TAKE OFF the wheel, then remove a protective bulkhead from inside the fender, then remove the light bucket.
