sx240z
Well I got a spa a while back from a family friend and all the jets work, but i can't get that damn thing to heat the water. I've read somewhere that you need to bleed the water, but it still doesn't heat up. The previous owner said it was working fully. I don't know it could have gotten damaged when we tried to put it in our backyard. Anyone got any ideas, i was planning to fix it as a present for my parents since i got no money. Thanks! Phyte
I once replaced the heating element on one. Its just a coil piece of metal, and I don't understand how one could go "bad", but it did. Replaced it and it fixed it. Phyte
sx240z
so where did you get that coil element? jason
Phyte
so where did you get that coil element? jason I helped a "non handy" buddy of mine replace it. It was his. I assume he got the element from just a local spa/pool store. I'd give them a call. Phyte

baddriver
I'm just guessing here, but it's probably no different from the element used in a hot water heater. If you can contact the manufacturer, or find the wattage on a little silver sticker somewhere, you can probably get a new one anywhere. Sounds like a good winter project to me. Much more fun than watching the snow pile up on the z.
