Guest Nic-Rebel450CA
I am just starting to round up some estimates so I can have some of the info ready when my attorney needs it. How much would it cost to pay a shop to do the following?: (If you can site any shops in NorCal that I can check with, that would help too). Swap an 81 280 engine, transmission, and R200 into a 1970 240ZInstall new door panelsInstall a dash capInstall an airdamInstall an alarm with remote keyless entry (solenoids in the doors) (more to come later such as value of specific parts)
Heavy Z
For the engine, you might try John's automotive - he's worked on Zs for a long time. As for these: Install new door panels - do it yourself, 15 minute job with a screwdriver. Install a dash cap - do it yourself, pretty easy especially if it's a half cap. Install an airdam - do it yourself, basic tools needed and about an hour of your time. I'm not sure about the alarm part, good luck Nic. Guest Nic-Rebel450CA
Well, my reason for asking isnt for having the work done now, it's to estimate the work that was already done on the Z. Since the work was already done, and they are parts that were added on (not stock condition for the car) then that would be taken into consideration of the value of the car. Heavy Z
Sorry Nic, I didn't read the first part close enough. I'd go to Wessler's auto body on J street since the owner is really cool and they do thorough, expensive work.
