Guest brandon3781
Since I live here in good old hot AZ Im gonna need some A/C. The donor truck for my engine swap has everything including working A/C. Im already gonna pull the complete wiring hanress (TBI to tail lights) from the truck to redo the 30 year old Datsun wiring. Has anyone every attempted to install an entire GM A/C system (blower, condenser, compressor, evap, etc) in a Z? If not then I guess I will be the 1st
Heavy Z
Try using the search in the chevy or misc. tech forums, I seem to remember this coming up before. People on this site have discussed using various approaches to keeping cool - from vintage air systems like Pete Paraska chose to Mike KZ's custom retrofit. Hava look and you'll find some helpful info.
labrat
I've thought about this myself, and the best solution I could come up with (provided teh Z already has AC) is to modify the lines on a GM compressor to match up with the datsun lines. You should prolly use a gm dryer too, as the new ones are better than the old style ones. Just what I'm thinking of doing... Bill
