Guest Aguyandaredhead
Ok I was in the garage and searching franticly for a piece of exhaust tubing that was just the right size to fit into the strut housings that I had just cut off and after having no luck the lightbulb came on. I have heard of many diffrent ways of aligning the two pieces and I dont think this has been mentioned but if it has DISREGARD IT..... OK use the piece of Angle Iron like described before but instead of using exhaust tubing use this http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/Displayitem.taf?itemnumber=37353 And to boot I got it for 7.99 on sale.. Just drop it in and LIGHTLY expand it. Be sure not to weld it into the tube but that apply's to the tubing as well. Well it worked great and the two are perfectly in line. Now I cut mine so that the cut is under my threaded collar so it was only about 5 inches down but I suspect you could also use this further down the tub just use a ratchet and ext to tighten it. Well I hope this helps in someone's effort to complete this Mod.. Jeff
