ecp48
Just went to buy my new rotors for the Toyota S12W Calipers and the 240SX rear calipers on my '78 280Z. The parts man asked whether it was US or Canadian? What is the difference between Canadian and US Rotors. The 1984 US were four lugs, were the Canadian five Lugs? Is this the difference? A little help please. Thanks in advance. ecp48 Ed Palmer

Drax240z
No the distinction isn't the number of lugs. AFAIK, 4 bolt was used in the 84 & 85 non-turbo, 5 bolt for the rest. Canadian model front rotors measure ~9.75" in diameter, while the non-canadian model is ~10.50" in diameter. If you are doing the S12W swap you need the non-canadian rotor. Offset, width, etc. all remain the same between the two rotors.
ecp48
Drax, Thanks, but what about the rears. I am finding the same thing there. I will be using the 240SX calipers and the 84 Maxima brackets. Thanks, Ed
Drax240z
Straight from Modern Motorsports website: "one pair of 300ZX Z31 rear 11-3/8's rotors (’83-9/85, post ’85 are smaller and NOT the right ones), 4 lug (normally aspirated) or 5 lug (turbo) depending on your current or desired setup" I don't know the specifics of the maxima bracket, but I'm pretty certain both setups were made to work with the same rotors.
