A Weekend in the Motor City

I just got back from spending the weekend in Detroit at the North American International Auto Show. (By "just" i actually mean about 13 hours ago, but I had to go spend some quality time with friends before gettting back online). Might I just say...... WOW , that was truly amazing. A brand new Corvette, a brand new Ferrari, some crazy concepts.....quite a sight to see. There had to have been 20,000 people there at any given point in time, it was hard to move even in the Kia display. I spent about 20 minutes waiting my turn to get close enough to the new Corvette to take pictures of it, and the first batch still wasnt very good. Eventually I managed to work my way right into the front, at the corner of the display. The geniouses who planned this event also put Ferrari, Lamborghini, Bentley, Maybach, and Maserati all next to each other in a cramped section of the hall.....I could hardly move. However, it was certainly one incredible experience. I am working on loading some of the pictures online so that I can post at least the new Corvette and Ferrari pictures. (I think there were about 275 total, stupid batteries kept dying so I had to give up....therefore, I doubt I will be able to get all of them online). For the record, there was a large crowd around the Z roadster every time I walked past it, I couldn't even get a picture of it because there were so many people in front of it.
