preith Posted January 25, 2004 Share Posted January 25, 2004 Just a thought. This mainly applies to "race only" cars. Has anyone experimented with an alterative steering column? I've seen ones with basically a shaft and rod ends to support it. This might be a good way to shave some weight off the car. Did some searching and found a place which sells intermediate (rack to column) colapsable sections. This seems to make more sense.
