niceguy678us
Just in case any of you Hybrid Z'ers need these here they are: 18836 28466 18750 18700 These are Gates hoses purchased from O'Rielly's. Cost me $21. These are the three heater core/valve hoses that are inside the car under the dash, and the one from the firewall to the back of the cylinder head. Not sure which ones are which just copying from the receipt (already installed them and peeled the stickers off em'). These all had the right bends in them and only required minimal trimming of the ends just for length purposes, but if you do this job and look at these hoses at the "parts house" next to your originals you will see that the bends are 99.9% perfect. Application was on a 78 280Z inline six, but these should fit the earlier years since they are all pretty much the same. I recomend that you get newer style hose clamps and throw away those cruddy originals (mine were rusty and I hate them anyways).
Guest Z Man377
Thanks, Today i just went to Oreilly's. I think my Heater control valve and hoses are leaking. They said it was a specialty item they don't carry it and had no reference for the hoses too. HAve any ideas about the valve besides Motorsports? niceguy678us
No, sorry man . I have no clue on the valve. But those hoses have the right bends, you just have to trim a little off the ends to have the perfect fit. But the job came out perfect with those hoses, thus the reason I posted the info for others. Just trying to do my little part for the site wherever I can. I have no clue what the hoses are meant for, I went to the back of the store and went through all they had till I found the perfect ones, took about an hour ( I know......I know...... I'm too pickey) but the guy's Z I was working on is a very good friend, so I wanted to do him right.
