Guest madzdriver
I am trying to find out what would be involved in swaping the motor out of an 89 300 zx turbo into my 280zx 2+2. The turbo motor was free so i would really like to use it. Any help would be welcome thanks !
Guest Aaron
You will have problems similar to another member on here, ZR8ED. Here is his web site. If memory serves, his biggest issues were with steering shaft clearance at the turbo. His car is a 1st gen z so the engine compartment is slightly different than the ZX. I am planning (along with a friend) to put an 84 300ZXT engine in a '72 pinto. Clearance at the turbo is a problem for us, so we are planning to relocate the turbo and mount it at the front of the engine similar to Scottie-GNZ's setup. Guest FinalRights
Easiest way to solve that is custom manifolds, with the turbo at the front of the engine. I have lots of pictures of a 700+ hp vg30et 280zx. Custom everything on this guys car.
