Guest iskone
Thanks for all the help. I'll just stick with the 7mgte, I don't want an auto at all. I just figured someone out there has matted an auto to a GN. I will defenitly be balancing the money spent between the engine and the suspension. I only want to spend about $3,500 on the motor and another $500 on the tranny. I can do this with the 7mgte.
majik16106
right, well thats how they were designed. If you want a big power drag car, auto is the way to go. It can work on open road courses, a good friend of mine Larry Anderson runs a 1.39 at road atlanta in his 97 supra turbo, and its a slush box. he'd probably be faster with a manual but i think an auto x is gonna be way more difficult in a powerful auto Z. im sure it would be fun, but dont expect a podium. The gn motor is a bad mamajama. but to me it would be perfect for drag and open highway type racing.
