Here are the quick answers to your questions:

If the motor mounts are the set back type (JTR style) then they will not work on the ZX. If they are straight down, inline with the cross member bosses, then you might could use them, but you probably will have to add spacers to clear the rack and pinion.

The exhaust headers on the left side will need to be majorly tweaked to clear the steering shaft, and you will not be able to use any of the piping, because the ZX exhaust needs to follow a different path around the rear axle.

You will most likely need a new driveshaft.

You can use the existing fuel tank setup, including the fuel pump IF you use a bypass style fuel pressure regulator.

You should get another radiator because the ZX frame rails can accept a 26" wide unit, and you will want to fill up that space to keep the ram air from bypassing around the sides, and to maximize the cooling capacity. You can use the electric fan.

Hi List,

Just wondering, I have a 1974 260 Z with a 350 gm engine and tranny aready installed and set up and a 300 zx rear end. New radiator and electric fan cooling .It's all there and can be run no exhaust though It's brand new custom built dual unit that has never bee put on. Given I got all this, what goblins will I find if I try to drop it in an 83 zx? I'm thinking (hopin) that the L28 motor mounts will be the same.I'm thinking I'll need a cusyom driveshaft (length). Perhaps I'll have to vent the fuel tank because the 83 is fuel injected and probably sealed maybe fuel pump issues. Needless to say I may have a lin on an 83 priced to move. If it is I can then take the L28 and 5 speed and put it in the 74
