Guest goldraven
alright, so i must appoligise before i begin this...i've tried to search for the answer for this question but i couldnt find it..so maby if you guys know which posts this answer is under direct me to that...anyways... here goes. I've been getting a feeling that i will not be able to use the stock fuel pump that the '80 280zx has for the chevy 350 swap. i'm just going to use a standard 650 cfm carb. the engine is from a 89 truck. anyways, what is the deal with the fuel delivery system? will i be able to use the 280zx pump? if not which pump exactly would i need to buy for it to work? will i have to buy any other parts to make it work? anyways, what problems have come up with this issue so i can anticipate it. Anything i'm leaving out please ask me. thanks for your help as usual. Nick
Guest greimann
You can use the stock high pressure fuel pump if you install a bypass style regulator that is rated for 0 - 15 PSI. I believe I used a Mallory unit, but there are many selections in the Summit or Jegs catalogs. As a tip for searching, the Author search still works, and many 280ZX posts have my name on them!
