Guest BillV
Are L69 heads any different from standard 305 heads, I think the compression is higher on the L69. Do the heads have smaller chambers, or are the pistons different. Is the cam different also? I know the L69 is about 30 hp stronger. I had a 84 Z28 with the L69, and it ran pretty good. I think this would be a good starter motor for my ZX until I build the 350 that I want. Also, what about Vortec heads on a 350? (I could use them on a 350 later) Thanks, Bill
Guest 77vegasz
Go to http://www.mortec.com and look up the casting numbers of the heads you want to know about. Most listings give chamber cc and valve sizes. You can use vortec heads on a 350, go to http://www.jegs.com or http://www.summitracing.com and look them up. They are very afordable, and give excelent performance. Jon

It states can be used on all small blocks from 1955 to present. Jon
